In botanical illustration, we typically treat leaf veins and textures as the visual focal point, with colors and details expressing a plant's vitality.

This work attempts a reverse observation—the leaf's contour becomes the protagonist, while veins and patterns recede into supporting roles.

Each leaf possesses its own unique formal language: unfurling or curling, sharp or rounded—nature's silent sculpture. By temporarily setting aside meandering veins and layered colors, we can observe what is often overlooked: the poetry of leaf shapes.

The posture of a leaf is itself a landscape worthy of contemplation.
